Importance of Prayer
We believe that being a person of prayer is essential to being a passionate follower of Jesus who lives out the STAR focus
Some of the things that are done through prayer include:
+Cooperating with God to advance His purposes & prayer for others - 1 Timothy 2:1, Col. 4:2-4, Ephesians 6:19-20
+Ask for healing and wholeness - James 5:14-16, Book of Acts, Mark 11:25
+Oppose evil forces - Mark 16:17-18, Ephesians 6:10-18
+Ask God for direction & wisdom- Luke 6:12-13, Prov. 2:1-5
+Praising God for His grace and very nature - Many Psalms, Colossians 1, and Romans 8-9
Prayer Groups - Get Involved!
Sunday AM - 7:30am - 8:30am - OPEN GROUP
This group is open to anyone that wants to come. We usually have a general prayer time while making sure to focus on the services for that day. In addition we encourage and pray for one another as well. contact Greg Honderd if you are interested in coming, or just come!
Tuesday AM - 6:00am - 7:00am - Men's Group
Come to this group for a time of mutual encouragement and for building one another up to be godly men who love Jesus. We pray for one another, the church, and for any prayer requests that people may have. Contact Greg Honderd if you are interested in coming, or just come!
Wednesday PM - 5:30pm - 6:30pm - OPEN "Focus" GROUP
"Prodigal" Prayer Group - Our goal is to provide prayer support for our loved ones and one another. Prayer for the 18-25 age "youth" is who we tend to focus on. We look to God for restoring of relationships and healing. In addition to praying we spend time in God's Word seeking Him and encouraging one another. Contact Sue if you are interested in coming.
Wednesday PM - 6:30pm - 8:30pm - OPEN GROUP
The focus is to bring glory to God as His Spirit leads us. This often looks differently each week. We pray for one another, our church, our community, and our world. Contact Terri for more information, or just stop in.
Saturday AM- 8:30am - 9:30am - OPEN "Focus" GROUP
The Staff - Our goal is to provide prayer support for the EGM staff. We believe that providing this support for them is essential to our church's mission of making passionate followers of Jesus. Come lift them up with us each Saturday. Contact Sue if you are interested.
